CICT-HCDG TEACHER TRAINING: iSchools ICT LITERACY TRAINING PROGRAM FOR TEACHERS

GENERAL OBJECTIVES


Anchored in the National ICT Competency Standards for Teachers (NICS-Teachers) developed by the Commission on Information and Communications Technology, this training course is envisioned to equip the participants in:

implementing, facilitating, and monitoring teaching and learning strategies that integrate a range of information and communication technologies to promote and enhance student learning (TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS AND CONCEPTS)

establishing cooperative and collaborative technology-supported and learner-centered environments that engage all students in focused learning experience and encourage interactions among teachers and students (EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY SKILLS)

enriching curriculum lessons with students by effectively evaluating and using relevant and appropriate software for specific educational use (SOFTWARE SELECTION AND IMPLEMENTATION); and

identifying and applying the social, ethical, legal, and human issues surrounding the use of technology in education (VALUES, ETHICS, AND LEGAL ISSUES).
